Residents of Dean Gardens will be well aware that a serious incident took place last night - an EalingToday subscriber described the scene as 'taped off and swarming with police'.

At this early stage little more than that is known by the police and anyone with any more information is being urged to come forward.

A spokesperson confirmed to EalingToday that Ealing Borough Police were called to Deans Gardens, West Ealing, at 8.30 in the evening on 19th September 2007 following reports that a man had been stabbed.

"On arrival police located a male in his 20's with a stab wound to his abdomen, " said the spokesperson. "He was taken to a West London hospital by LAS where his condition is described as not life threatening."

At this early stage, police believe the victim may have received the injury following an argument. Officers from Ealing CID are investigating.

No Arrests have been made. Inquiries continue.
